Garden Tour with Susie Middleton

Wednesday, September 17th from 5–6:15 PM

In this garden tour, former farmer and future market gardener Susie Middleton will show how she is converting parts of her small property into a market garden. The tour will include three areas: A current, small, efficient home garden with raised beds where Susie grows peas, lettuce, beans, tomatoes, onions, herbs, other veg, and lots of flowers; a 20 x 40 hoop house (built three years ago to start and harden off seedlings), and the infrastructure and soil-in-progress for the new large market garden. Susie will offer tips learned as a farmer for home growers and an overview of her "slow farming" plan for turning a field into a garden.

COST: FREE for Ag Society members, $10 for non-members. Pre-registration required. Sign up below and we’ll send out the address several days before the tour!

This tour is now full. Please email Lucy at programs@mvagsoc.org to be added to our waitlist and we’ll let you know if we have any cancellations!
