Emergency Shelter for Farm Animals
Our property at 35 Panhandle Road has an animal barn for use during the Fair and other events. We are happy to house farm or backyard livestock in this barn during emergencies that are a risk to the animals’ health, such as cold snaps and winter storms. For more information, please contact the Agricultural Society at 508-603-9549.
Emergency Shelter Rules and Regulations
Contact the Ag Hall as soon as possible about emergency shelter use.
Animal owner should be an Ag Society member, but it is not necessary.
Animals must be up to date on all shots.
Make sure your contact information is on file with the facilities manager and/or Ag Society office.
No one will not be admitted to the barn before 7 AM or after 8 PM.
Bring enough food and bedding for your animals.
Water is available on the side of the main barn; hauling water is the owner’s responsibility.
Do not let animals run loose in the barn unnecessarily.
Do not feed animals that are not yours.
Try not to upset or disturb animals that are not yours.
Muck out all stalls you have used and dispose of waste properly. Ask for instructions if you don’t know where to put waste.
