Join us at the Ag Hall on Sunday, April 6th from 9:30 AM to 3 PM for our second annual Homesteader Conference! Each attendee will have the chance to attend our keynote lecture and two workshops focused on homesteader skills. Lunch will also be provided.
Please note that this is a two-part registration process: once you pay on this webpage, please fill out this Google form to register for particular workshops. We will then email you your workshop schedule—if a workshop is full, we may place you in your second or third pick.
Here’s the schedule for this conference:
9:30 to 10 AM: Check-in, snacks and coffee
10 to 10:45 AM: Keynote Lecture (Food Forests on MV and Beyond with Roxanne Kapitan, Mary Sage Napolitan, and Kaila Binney)
11 AM to 12:30 PM: Conference Session 1 (Spring Growing, Gathering, and Cooking with Phoebe Cole-Smith, Sewing to Reduce Waste with Sarah Vail, or Backyard Meat Production with Emma Green-Beach and Taz Armstrong)
12:30 to 1:30 PM: Lunch
1:30 to 3 PM: Conference Session 2 (Island Herbalism with Astrid Tilton, Natural Dyeing with Animal Fibers with Noah Van Riper, or Gardening with Tim Wilcox)
COST: $40 for Ag Society members, $50 for non-members. Lunch and all materials provided. Please note that only current members, not all members of the member’s party, are able to receive the reduced registration rate.
