Join us for a soil health and pest walk with Sam Glaze-Corcoran and Maria Gannett of UMass Extension! Sam Glaze-Corcoran is the Soil Testing Lab Manager, and her specialties are soil health, soil fertility, field crop management (corn, pasture, hay), grazing management, manure management, cover crops, and plant nutrition. Maria Gannett is the Extension's weed management specialist; she has been working lately on no-till organic weed management and weed management in compost.

While they're here, Sam and Maria from UMass will be offering farm visits as well. If you'd like to sign up for a farm visit, please email programs@mvagsoc.org with what you'd like to focus on and your preference between the available slots: Thursday from 1 to 2:30 PM, Friday from 9:30 to 11 AM, and Friday from 11:30 AM to 1 PM.
