Heritage Corn in the Kitchen with Tim Wilcox

Sunday, November 16th from 1–3 PM at the Ag Hall

Corn has been an essential part of the landscape and diet of Martha’s Vineyard for thousands of years. Tim Wilcox will show you how to make the most of this staple crop. With a few basic tools and methods, you can easily grow, cook, and eat homegrown corn all year round. Tim will demonstrate how to grind corn into flour and grits, how to nixtamalize corn into hominy and how to grind masa and make delicious soft tortillas. There will be hands-on tortilla pressing lesson and taco tasting.
