Large Animal Emergency Safety Training

MSPCA Equine Emergency Safety Training

March 26, 2022

9am - 4pm

Ag Hall, West Tisbury

$25 per person

Coordinator: Jessica Burnham

As the national authority on equine emergency response and rescue, MSPCA travels thousands of miles annually to train veterinarians, human organizations, public safety officials, and event officials in rescue and transportation.

With their innovative rescue equipment, including the Original Rescue Glide® and their horse mannequin Lucky, they conduct hands-on workshops for professionals throughout North America. With the wealth of experience that comes from performing hundreds of real-life rescues, MSPCA staff is able to re-create scenarios that may occur when handling horses and other large animals. Trainings are tailored to a group’s specific needs, and will include material on large animal body language & behavior, general equine safety, and use of equipment.

This Training is brought to you in a collaboration between the MV Horse Council, MV Agricultural Society, Slough Farm Foundation and Sponsor Flanders Real Estate.
