  • Lauren Lynch, President

Lauren Lynch run the Martha's Vineyard Agricultural Society since 2021. Before moving to the island in 2018, she lived in New York City for 17 years, where she worked in finance, focusing on investor relations. While in New York, she also received a Master's in Landscape Design from Columbia University. Lauren lives in Chilmark with her husband Charlie and her two sons Cubby and Teddy, where she gardens and sometimes raises chickens and cares for goats. She is passionate about supporting local farms and fostering community on the island.

  • Chris Lyons, Facilities and Maintenance Manager

Chris Lyons landed here on island as a young buck in the early 1990’s. With his storied past, he brings lots of different abilities to the Agricultural Society. While helping build the Fair, he realized the opportunity to help more with the day-to-day upkeep of the Society’s buildings and became the facilities and maintenance manager in January of 2020. He hopes to help keep the Ag Society as the upstanding farm and animal organization it has been for 160 years!

  • Lucy Grinnan, Program and Outreach Manager

Lucy has worked on vegetable farms on and off since 2015, and moved to the island to work at Slough Farm in 2022. Before moving here, they received a Bachelor’s in Classics and Dance from Middlebury College and a Master’s in Early Christian Studies from the University of Notre Dame. While their interests are wide-ranging, Lucy is most passionate about hands-on learning, local food systems, and writing in and for community. They are excited to handle the Agricultural Society’s communications and expand our 4-H, farmer, and farmworker programming.

  • Anna Swanson, Operations Manager

Anna has worked in agricultural and food education for almost 10 years. She has been a school garden educator, managed community and backyard garden programs, was the coordinator for a large annual agricultural event, and most recently was the Flower Manager at Slip Away Farm on Chappaquiddick. Anna joined the MV Ag Society as Operations Manager in October 2023, in addition to her role as Director of Special Projects for Martha’s Vineyard Nonprofit Collaborative. She is passionate about nonprofit systems, local food and flowers, and supporting the small but mighty team at MVAS.
